Botox® - Juvéderm™ - Radiesse®

Botox®, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet and other wrinkles near the eyes and bands in the neck.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those frown lines between the brows to form over time. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Botox is also used to relieve migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

Botox facial rejuvenation is generally performed on adult men and women whose facial tissue and muscles are in good condition. Botox treatments will not prevent patients from making natural facial expressions such as smiling, frowning or looking surprised. Benefits from Botox can last from 3 to 6 months.

Botox injections are done in the office. The treatment consists of small injections into the facial muscles. Usually, no anesthesia is used, but numbing creams are available. Risks include headache, respiratory infection, flu syndrome, temporary eyelid droop, and nausea. Uncommonly, adverse reactions can include muscle weakness.

Botox can be combined with facial fillers such as collagen, Juvéderm™, and Radiesse® for further improvements. Laser and IPL treatments can also be added to improve the color and appearance of the skin.

Juvéderm™ injectable gel is a gel dermal filler. Results are smooth, natural looking and feeling, and can last for up to 1 year. Moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds) can be minimized by injection of Juvéderm™ into the mid to deep dermis.
