IPL treatments for age spots and discoloration of the skin LuxG
For the treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions on the face, as well as the arms, chest, and other large areas. Using the LuxG and LuxV, this process is able to clear sunspots, rosacea, telangiectasias, and other conditions.
Treating a pigmented lesion with the pulsed light results in heating the melanin. The damaged lesion is then naturally sloughed as the skin exfoliates. Similar results are seen in the treatment of vascular lesions. The absorption of the light in oxyhemoglobin, de-oxyhemoglobin, and the resultant thermal action inside the blood vessels result in intraluminal coagulation, vasoconstriction, and damage to the vessel endothelial lining, all of which contribute to the degeneration and disappearance of any visible vessels.
Intense Pulsed Light treatments (IPL) for acne LuxV Dual Band
The Palomar LuxV dual band handpiece employs a blue spectrum of light that is absorbed by porphyrins; this destroys p. acnes bacteria. The treatment is relatively simple and consists of 4-5 treatments over a 2 week period. Acne outbreaks are reduced for approximately 4-6 months following this series of treatments.

Before Treatment After Treatment
Skin Rejuvenation with Laser or Infrared light Lux 1540 Fractional
The Lux1540 microbeams penetrate deeper (up to 1.5 mm) than other devices. The deeper columns, create a greater volume of new tissue. Coagulated cellular debris is either transdermally eliminated or replaced with new collagen as the skin is rejuvenated.
This laser treatment is performed in the office with, at most, topical numbing creams leaving patients with little to no downtime. Some redness may be noted for the first day, and some mild swelling for a few days following the treatment. Recovery is much quicker than traditional CO2 laser or non-fractional erbium laser peels.
LuxIR Fractional
Lumiere offers LuxIR Fractional treatments to treat fine wrinkling of the skin.
Energy is passed into the skin to the deeper layers of collagen, causing some of the collagen to coagulate. Your body’s natural processes will then remove this coagulated collagen and lay down fresh collagen to replace it causing a tightening of the skin.
You will feel an initial cooling of the skin followed by a deep heat, then another cooling period. Several treatments are usually required for optimum results. Results usually take about 3 months to become fully apparent.
LuxIR Fractional treatments can be performed on many different areas and is commonly used on the face and neck, upper arms, and abdomen.
Laser Treatment of Spider Veins
 Lux 1064 YAG
The Lux 1064 YAG handpiece is ideal for targeting the blood vessels that cause spider veins. The energy from the Lux 1064 heats the hemoglobin within the vessel, causing the vessel walls to constrict. The vessel then shrinks and fades from View.
